Domaine Olivier Merlin Description
Olivier's old-vine La Roche Vineuse bottling comes from a 3 hectare parcel planted in the mid-1950s. The soils are Bathonian and Bajocian era clay-limestone.

The 2022 Mâcon La Roche Vineuse Vieilles Vignes is 100% barrel fermented for 12 months and spends 4-5 months in tank. This is clearly a level up from the regular cuvée with more terroir expression and intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with a rounded, slightly honeyed entry, perhaps missing a little bite on the finish, though it has approachability and charm.
