We are always happy to accept the return of a flawed wine that was purchased in our store, but we must ask that you return the flawed bottle and at least 2/3 of its contents so that we may return it to the vendor for credit.
We are sorry, but we cannot accept returns on spirits.

Houston Wine Merchant is not responsible for damage incurred during shipment either due to physical mishandling by the shipper or exposure to the elements.
If your package has been physically damaged during transit, it's important to inspect and document the damage and to report it to us and to the carrier at the time the package is delivered. This will insure the best chance of making a successful claim for any loss.
As we are based in Texas, we recommend against shipping wine during the hot summer season or during unseasonably warm periods the rest of the year. If you elect to ignore that advice and ship your wines during the periods we feel are too hot, we will certainly take every precaution to minimize the risk to your wine; but there is no way for us to guarantee that the conditions on the truck or in the shipper's warehouse will be favorable. You are assuming the risk that the wine may be spoiled in the shipping process. Please be advised that Houston Wine Merchant will take no responsibility for such damage.
