Aromas of pear, orange oil, freshly baked bread and toasted nuts introduce Leflaive's 2021 Bourgogne Blanc, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and seamless wine that's charming, exhibiting impressive purity of fruit and a long, saline finish.
Vinous: 87 Points
The 2021 Bourgogne Blanc has a focused bouquet with citrus peel, grass clippings and marine influences. The palate is well-balanced and simple with fine acidity, moderate length and cooking apple on the finish. Fine.
Burghound: 87-90 Points
A deft but still easily perceptible dollop of wood sets off cool, airy and attractively fresh aromas of various white orchard fruit and just sliced lemon. There is excellent volume to the medium-bodied and sappy flavors that coat the palate with dry extract on the beautifully long, balanced, dry and complex finale. This is an excellent and ageworthy Bourgogne and worth checking out.
