As the Eymael family, we run the Pfeffingen winery near Bad Dürkheim in the Pfalz region with a lot of heart and passion. Producing characterful, individual wines from 17 hectares of the best vineyards is what drives us. Wines where you can taste where they were grown. Wines that promise drinking pleasure and joy. The “Herrenberg”, where this wine has been growing, is one of the most famous vineyards in the Pfalz region. In 1828 it was classified by the Royal-Bavarian Land Taxation laws as a first class vineyard. The mild climate produces powerful, but elegant wines with a good acidity structure.The soil is dominated by a high content of limestone which adds a very mineral character to the wine.
Tasting Note: shows flavours of citrus, apricots and peaches. On the palate the wine has a wonderful complexity, shows great minerality and is obviously influenced by the long lie-contact. The fresh acidity and the powerful, but elegant body are another proof of a wine of big potential.

The 2023 Riesling Ungsteiner Herrenberg GG is clear, fresh and aromatic on the nose, reminiscent of white stone fruit, and also reveals pleasant green, fresh fruit nuances. It's smooth and juicy on the palate, powerful, dense and mouth-filling but less sustainable in structure.
