From a VDP. Grosse Lage next to the Steingrüble but climatically cooler and cultivated on Schilfsandstein, the 2018 Riesling Schlipshälde VDP. Grosse Lage offers a very attractively reductive grapefruit bouquet. Lush on the palate, this is a tight, fresh and juicy Riesling with lovely phenolic grip and lingering salinity and purity. Impressive wine. A long-distance runner.
