Commanderie de Peyrassol is located in the foothills of the Massif des Maures mountain range, 10 miles from the Mediterranean Sea, between Cannes and Marseille. Existing as a winery for almost 800 years, Commanderie de Peyrassol has thrived as a sanctuary for gathering travelers, all the while holding true to its values of hospitality and conviviality. The estate consists of 1,000 hectares with 95 hectares planted to vineyards cultivated on dry, rocky clay and limestone soils.
The Clos is one of the most beautiful plots on the estate, surrounded by low stone walls, at the foot of the Templar buildings. We have made the choice to be organic, in coherence with the range of our wines on the estate. A demanding and uncompromising sourcing brings us today to offer you the best of Provence. Triassic clay and limestone, with a high proportion of gravel.
Tasting Note: With an extremely pale pink color, this emblematic cuvée cultivates elegance, finesse and concentration. Aromas of white cherry blossom, citrus and white fruits such as peach and pear. Built around the acidity of the fruit, very long on the palate, this wine is elegantly prolonged by bitterness and dosed salinity.

The 2023 Rosé Le Clos Peyrassol is gorgeously floral-a wine built much more on aromatic expression and complexity than concentration of flavors. The bouquet evokes a walk through a rose garden in the throes of spring, punctuated by the occasional pop of fresh, just-ripe apricot, pineapple and deep overtones of stemmy herbs and sweet baking spices. Focused, pure and delicate, this is a supremely elegant edition of Le Clos, if a bit introspective. There's a discernible blossom honey note on the close that I find so engaging, wrapping things up with just a touch of inner sweetness.
