This wine is a blend of California heritage selections and Dijon Clones—Hyde-Wente, Robert Young, Rued, UC Davis Clone 4, clone 96 and Spring Mountain. Historically, Dutton Ranch yields fragrant, tropical aromatics and a crisp mineral character. Planted on the famous Gold Ridge Sandy Loam soil, which predominates at Dutton Ranch, located in the heart of Russian River’s cool Green Valley.
Tasting Note: The highly aromatic notes of citrus blossom, rose petal, nectarine and honeysuckle wash over the senses. These aromas translate to the palate where a densely textured, weightiness intermingles with perfectly ripe golden apple. French oak lends a crème brûlée aroma. All the while, a firm acid backbone cinches up the palate and lends focus.
