Mylonas Winery Description
The story of Mylonas Winery begins over a century ago, in 1917, in the region of Keratea, Eastern Attica. It all started with our grandfather, Antonis, whose life was devoted to viticulture and winemaking. In those early days, without access to modern equipment, he would ferment the grape must in clay amphorae—a tradition that speaks to the purity and authenticity of the wine culture of that era.
The modern history of Mylonas Winery began in earnest in 2000. After the loss of our father, we, the Mylonas brothers, took on the responsibility of continuing his work—honoring his vision, yet committed to taking it further, just as he had done before us.
In 2006, we launched our first officially bottled wine under the label “Savatiano Mylonas Winery,” marking our formal entry into the Greek wine market. At the heart of it was our dedication to expressing the soul of our land through authentic, high-quality wines—and our desire to carry the family tradition proudly into the future.
Tasting Note: Bright lemon color with green highlights; Complex aromatic palette where mineral aromatic elements coexist with the aromas of citrus fruits (citrus and lime) and spring white flowers; Rich, full-bodied with lively acidity, interspersed with aromas of citrus fruits and herbs with intense mineral elements. A fine wine with a long, persistent aftertaste.
Wine Pairing: It accompanies rich seafood, fatty fish, white meats, rich pasta with butter or cream, as well as salads with an emphasis on starchy products, or traditional lemon dishes of Greek cuisine such as lamb fricassee, pork with celeriac and magieritsa-style soups.
