Burghound: 89-91 Points
An ultra-fresh and again quite cool and airy nose combines notes of just turned earth, wild red berries and a hint of forest floor character. There is a beguiling sense of underlying tension to the delineated and punchy medium weight flavors that conclude in a youthfully austere and balanced finale. This is sufficiently tightly wound to benefit from at least a few years of patience. A quality Gevrey villages.
Vinous: 87-89 Points
The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Village comes mostly from Brochon. It has a straightforward bouquet that is a little backward at first, with undergrowth and touches of tobacco. The palate has commendable weight and really fills the mouth with no hard edges. It's super-easy to drink with a sweet ripe finish. This will be ready to rock within months of bottling.
