Luigino Balozio Description
Luigino is a character with a very high profile, humble but highly prepared in the management of vineyards as well as being a top oenologist. Some years ago he decided to make a change in the management of some vineyards. Together with his friend Christian Patat, they decided to isolate some of these plots and to dedicate to them a very accurate pruning management with the support of Zeno Gregorat. A Chardonnay , small vineyards of Friulano and a magnificent plot of Sauvignon, located in the municipalities of Corno di Rosazzo (Cuar) and Buttrio (Buri) become the object of the trio's attention. A project of Friulano pride.

The 2021 Sauvignon Cuar is spicy and floral, mixing crushed stones with lime zest and rosemary. It splashes across the palate with a balanced inner sweetness contrasted by lime-tinged acidity and saline minerals. This finishes with a salty flourish and cleans up beautifully through the lengthy finale. The 2021 is remarkably pretty and almost too easy to like.
