Luigino Balozio Description
Luigino is a character with a very high profile, humble but highly prepared in the management of vineyards as well as being a top oenologist. Some years ago he decided to make a change in the management of some vineyards. Together with his friend Christian Patat, they decided to isolate some of these plots and to dedicate to them a very accurate pruning management with the support of Zeno Gregorat. A Chardonnay , small vineyards of Friulano and a magnificent plot of Sauvignon, located in the municipalities of Corno di Rosazzo (Cuar) and Buttrio (Buri) become the object of the trio's attention. A project of Friulano pride.
This Friulano comes from a 60-year-old vineyard and has a complex mix of exotic spices and tropical florals; its roundness, due to the varietal, is well balanced with natural mineral acidity.

The 2022 Friulano Cuar opens with a mineral-laden blend of spices and dried pit fruits. It begins with a burst of sweetness contrasted by tart orchard fruits and green melon tones enlivened by zesty acidity. This finishes with a tinge of candied lime, medium in length and crisply refreshing.
