Laherte Frères Description
NV Ultradition Extra Brut is a blend of 60% Meunier, 30% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir, 40% of which are reserve wines, from selected parcels in seven villages in the Côteaux sud d’Epernay, Côte des Blancs and Vallée de la Marne. The Champagne is held one year longer en-tirage before disgorgement, and is dosed at 4.5 gr/l. The label is a replica of an original label used by the family in the early days of estate bottling.
It is a fine and complex blend that is perfect as an aperitif, or even paired with oysters or shellfish.

The new NV Brut Ultradition exhibits aromas of toasted bread, honeycomb and golden orchard fruit. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, girdled by incisive acids and enlivened by a pinpoint mousse. Expect more complexity to emerge with a bit more age on cork. As in its extra-brut counterpart, domaine fruit is supplemented by some 40% purchased must in this bottling.

The NV Extra Brut Ultradition is a terrific introduction to the range. Bright and delineated, with fine balance, the Ultradition has a ton to offer. This release is a blend based on 2021, with 40% reserve wines from 2020 and 2019. Naturally, it is a bit on the lighter side, and yet all the elements are nicely balanced. Dosage is 4.5 grams per liter.
