A sophisticated stuff that lives up to Oakville's reputation. It tastes rich and alluring from the first whiff of black currant and espresso to the ultrasmooth mouthfeel and elegant finish. Think extra-fine tannins, opulent currant, dark chocolate and black cherry flavors.
Hoopes Description
Tasting Notes: Scents of black currant, cedar chips, mandarin, mint, and lit tobacco sparks fly out of the glass. A strong entry of plum and cocoa encrusted roast are followed by firm and eventful tannins. This is a big wine and would do well with some time to unwind, but it is queued up to be a showstopper. The finish is massive and absolute with dark chocolate covered cherries, stewed plums, and Cuban cigars.
