The pale 2023 Vidueño from Santiago del Teide comes from two plots planted with mixed varieties, probably with more white this year—up to 60%, hence the color—because of the lower crop in red. This is bottled without any added sulfur, but the wine is neat, clean and precise. They did a shorter maceration in this warm and concentrated year. The higher percentage of white seems to lift up the wine. It has 12% alcohol and a pH of 3.2 with 6.2 grams of acidity. It feels more like a white this year...
