The 2001 Domaine de Chevalier has a more flattering bouquet compared to the 2000, featuring gorgeous, very black cherry, blueberry and mint aromas that gain intensity in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with simile tannic structure to the 2000, firm and maybe a little austere, displaying fine grip but, atypically for this estate, q recalcitrant at the moment, so afford it more time in the cellar.

Wine Spectator: 90 Points
Silky and elegant red, with fine tannins and a fresh, fruity finish. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins and a mineral aftertaste. Already a beauty to taste.
