The 2021 Marsannay En Clémengeots has also turned out very well, offering up aromas of sweet plums, vine smoke, blood orange and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and textural, the site's clay soils deliver more mid-palate weight.

An attractively fresh and expressive nose offers up more deeply pitched and earthier notes of various dark berries, plum and violet. There is good minerality on the slightly more refined middleweight flavors that culminate in a pure, dusty and mildly austere finish. This is presently fairly compact yet still manages to deliver solid length.
