The 2022 Marsannay Fleur de Pinot comes from several parcels meticulously assembled by Laurent Pataille. Around half are directly pressed with a couple of years in demi-muids and tank. The nose offers morello cherries, strawberry pastilles, hints of pressed white flowers, and a light sea spray note. The palate has fine tension and very good weight for a rosé, with bitter cherry perking up the finish. Delicious.

Pretty and airy aromas include those of raspberry, strawberry and essence of red pinot fruit. The plump and fleshy but nicely punchy flavors terminate in a clean and dry-in-the-best sense finish where there is enough tannin to support a few years of cellaring if desired.
