The 2022 Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits Les Dames Huguette comes from more limestone soils than the Aux Charmes. With fine delineation and transparency on the nose, the terroir comes through on this cuvée. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, a mixture of red and black fruit with quite a sapid finish that begs another sip. Good potential.

Cathiard produced fully 36 barrels of the 2022 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Les Dames Huguette, a medium-bodied, taut and incisive red redolent of plums, berries and petals. The soils here are stonier, so it's always the tangiest of his three Hautes-Côtes bottlings.
Burghound: 87-89 Points
A cooler and brighter nose reveals its mostly red berry fruit aromas cut with hints of anise and floral wisps. There is excellent minerality to the precise and punchy medium weight flavors that culminate in a chiseled, persistent and balanced finale. This is most impressive for its level.
