Domaine Rapet Père et Fils Description
The Rapet family estate has a history going back almost three centuries. A treasured "tastevin" (wine-taster) dating from 1765, on which the family name appears, is carefully kept from generation to generation. Vincent, the grandson of Robert and son of Roland, along with his wife, Sylvette, are now hard at work managing the estate.
A great red Burgundy wine, located in the commune of Beaune. The grape variety is Pinot Noir. This thirty-year-old vine was purchased for the 2012 harvest.
In fact, this name comes from "EN SANVIGNES", a village near the source of the Genêt, in the 4th century, Gallo-Roman ruins attest to ancient dwellings. The surrounding vineyards bore this name which became "CENTS VIGNES". The Pinot Noir expresses itself wonderfully, combining the smoothness and roundness of Beaune with the power, richness and depth of wines for laying down.
Wine Pairing: Recommended with lamb, duck breast, red meat, or soft cheese. Serve at 15°C; its shelf life is around 10 years.

The 2023 Beaune Les Cents Vignes ler Cru has a generous bouquet of dark cherries, redcurrant and raspberry fruit, with fine delineation and hints of mocha in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with sapid red fruit, gentle grip, fine tannins and a linear, perhaps slightly conservative finish. Very appealing, very charming.

The 2023 Beaune 1er Cru Les Cents Vignes stands out in the range this year, bursting with aromas of blackberries, orange zest, rose petals and spices. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with lively acids and a saline finish, it will drink well young.

A slightly fresher nose of rose petal, violet, red cherry and a similar hint of crushed anise leads to detailed and appealingly tension-filled flavors that flash more evident minerality on the equally long and balanced if mildly firmer finale that could also use better depth.
