Domaine Pierrick Bouley Description
One of the new talents of the Côte de Beaune, Pierrick Bouley is a name you're going to hear a lot more about in the years to come. Of course, Bouley hasn't courted the media spotlight as assiduously as some of his contemporaries; instead, he's been hard at work in the vineyards. He presides over some 9.6 hectares, divided into more than 40 parcels.
Wine Advocate: 88 Points
The 2020 Bourgogne Passetoutgrain offers up aromas of sweet berries, petals and flowers, followed by a medium-bodied, fleshy, lively palate built around tangy acids and melting tannins. It's a blend dominated by some 70% Gamay.
Burghound: 86 Points
A fresh, bright and peppery nose reflects notes of both red and dark berries. There is good density in the context of what is typical for PTG (Passetoutgrains) while displaying only moderate rusticity on the refreshing, inviting and delicious finale. A quality effort for the genre.
Vinous: 85-87 Points
The 2020 Bourgogne Passetoutgrain "Classique", a blend of 70% Gamay and 30% Pinot Noir, has a vibrant, fresh bouquet with brambly red fruit, oddly, more Pinot-like than Gamay-like. The palate reverts back to the Gamay with sweet red cherry fruit, kirsch-like on the finish.
