Domaine Pierrick Bouley Description
One of the new talents of the Côte de Beaune, Pierrick Bouley is a name you're going to hear a lot more about in the years to come. Of course, Bouley hasn't courted the media spotlight as assiduously as some of his contemporaries; instead, he's been hard at work in the vineyards. He presides over some 9.6 hectares, divided into more than 40 parcels.
Wine Pairing: It goes perfectly with grilled fish. Its vivacity and its citrus note resist well the iodine of oysters as well as the strong scent of goat cheese. More simply, Burgundy Aligoté is one of the rare wines that go well with salads, tabbouleh, or steamed vegetables. And certainly, with Burgundian "gougères", snails, and marbled ham.
Vinous: 88-90 Points
The 2020 Bourgogne Aligoté, which came directly from vat, has a fresh lychee and passion fruit tinged bouquet. The palate is well-defined with a light tropical tones of nectarine and kumquat, fine acidity with a lively, très Aligoté finish.
