Domaine Lamy-Pillot Description
World-renowned Burgundian producer situated in Chassagne Montrachet - Côte d'Or. Working with 15 hectares of vines, controlling all stages of the production from the vineyard to the marketing of bottled wines. Production is between 80 to 100 thousand bottles depending on the vintage, spread over 20 different appellations. Over the years and through hard work, the Domaine has grown stronger. Now operating in Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint Aubin, Santenay, Meursault, and Beaune. The estate works with a small team of 8 people. Florence, the youngest daughter of René and Thérèse Lamy-Pillot, and Sébastien, her husband, joined them on the Estate in 1998. Florence studied at the wine school in Beaune, and several internships abroad, while Sébastien, after higher studies in Strasbourg and at the oenology faculty of Dijon, joined the wine industry.
The delicate balance of freshness, minerality and depth of our Chassagne-Montrachet village points to our constant choice to plant our Chardonnay in the least compact and most draining soils. Les Pierres and les Houillères on the Puligny-Montrachet side, and les Essarts, les Clos Reland and les Champs de Morgeot on the Santenay side, share a good stony soil with ideal proportions of limestone.
