A slightly better layered nose is composed by notes of spicy dark currant, violet, plum and more discreet earth nuances. There is a touch more volume to the caressing, succulent and nicely vibrant middleweight flavors that conclude in a youthfully austere and bitter pit fruit-inflected finish. This is also built on its fruit though with better overall depth.

The 2022 Savigny-lès-Beaune Village offers ripe, fleshy red cherries and strawberry fruit, though it comes across a little muffled compared to its peers. The palate is balanced but a bit rustic in style-chewy toward the finish and in need of a little more brightness.
