Alvina Pernot is the granddaughter of Burgundy icon Paul Pernot. She, and her husband Philippe Abadie, have started their own domaine in 2018.

Aromas of citrus zest, white flowers, fresh bread and struck match introduce Pernot's 2020 Bourgogne Côte d'Or, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and chiseled wine built around a bright spine of acidity. It's a strong effort at its level.

Layered and ripe aromas of pear, apple and a whiff of citrus introduce energetic and delicious flavors that retain good focus on the nicely dry and reasonably persistent finish. This refreshing and straightforward effort is a bit simple but not without a certain charm.
