Château de Beaucastel Description
Produced by Famille Perrin, Coudoulet de Beaucastel is often considered as the “Baby Beaucastel.” In 1936, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the very first French appellation was set. As a result, the existing vineyards were divided and the 75 acres of Coudoulet vineyards not part of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards are located just east of the vineyard of Beaucastel and the soil has many similarities. The same skill in blending that has been passed down in the Perrin family from generation to generation is utilized in the range of Coudoulet de Beaucastel Côtes du Rhône wines.
Tasting Note: Beautiful gold colour with subtle green highlights. The nose reveals a superb aromatic bouquet, very refined with aromas of citrus fruit and rose petals. With a beautiful tension and perfectly balanced, the mouth prolongs these citrus aromas, underlined by a delicate bitterness with lovely saline notes. The fatness of the Marsanne is expressed on the finish, giving this wine a beautiful structure. A generous vintage, remarkably balanced.

The 2023 Cotes du Rhone Coudoulet de Beaucastel Blanc is a straightforward white wine in the making, evoking a perfumed bouquet of flowers, apricot and ripe orchard fruits mingled with delicate notes of spices. Moderately weighted and enveloping, it’s perfectly balanced with a juicy mid-palate, seamless texture and a long, mouthwatering finish. Crafted from equal parts of Viognier, Marsanne and Bourboulenc.

The 2023 Côtes du Rhône Blanc Coudoulet de Beaucastel presents vivid lemon flesh, honeysuckle, yellow apple, herbal nuances and a slice of pear on the enticing aromatic profile. Medium-bodied at most, this refreshing white bundles plentiful elegance and closes with a bright finish of acceptable length.
