Back in 1976, while Soave was flooding American shelves with forgettable vino, Roberto Anselmi decided mediocrity wasn’t his thing. With a rebel heart and volcanic terroir at his feet, he started bottling his own wines—soaring above the crowd with serious, soulful whites. Forget pergola vines and cookie-cutter methods; Roberto rewrote the rulebook with low yields, Guyot pruning, and stainless-steel savvy. Then, in 2000, he dropped the mic: an open letter saying “ciao” to the Soave Classico consortium, because following your own vision sometimes means breaking up with tradition.
Fast forward to today, and Anselmi is the name on everyone’s lips when talking age-worthy, mineral-driven whites. From Garganega to Chardonnay to Sauvignon Blanc, his 70 hectares of high-altitude vines thrive in volcanic and limestone soils. And though he doesn’t wave a certification flag, his farming is organic in everything but paperwork. It’s not just wine—it’s a legacy in a glass.

Tasting Note: Deep, golden yellow with hints of amber. Stunningly rich and complex, packed with passion fruit, apricot, honey and pear aromas. Richly textured and full bodied, with tobacco, cedar and spicey orange notes, smooth and velvety.
Wine Pairing: A complex sweet wine that goes very well with lobster, is excellent with paté de fois gras, cheese and pastries.
