The 2019 Barolo Bussia Cascina Dardi is a very serious, almost somber, wine. Dark cherry, licorice, sage, menthol and mulling spices add to a feeling of mystery in this shy Barolo. There is plenty of depth and persistence, but I would plan on cellaring this a bit. If that is not an option, a serious decant will also do the trick.
