Reyneke Description
The 2020 Vinehugger Red is made up of 98% Syrah and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon blend. Grapes are sourced from the best organic vineyards across the Western Cape, a third of which comes directly from the estate. The grapes are sorted, destemmed and wild, spontaneous fermentation takes place in a combination of concrete tanks and opentop stainless-steel fermenters. 12% of the wine spends 12 months in well-seasoned oak barrels, after which the assemblage is made up and bottled.
