The 2019 Lindstrom Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley, is reliably replete with an abundance of dark cherry and cola notes.
In this vintage, those notes are enhanced by a lift of cardamom, fragrant pink peppercorn and raspberry jam aromas.
Lindstrom from Napa also makes one of the best Pinot Noir from Russian River Valley. Elegance and harmony is the key here. Restrained use of oak has resulted in refined but intense aromas along with density of body Russian River is famous for.
Lindstrom Description
The Lindstrom 2019 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir shows the classic characters of this noted AVA. Produced entirely from two Dutton Ranch vineyards in the Green Valley area of Russian River Valley, the fruit for this cool-climate Pinot Noir grows in light-textured soils and wind currents blowing directly from the Pacific Ocean. Foggy mornings and cool afternoons translate into a wine that shows remarkable complexity and a natural fruit acidity.
Harvested between September 17 and 24, 2019, this lovely Pinot Noir shows aromas of warm strawberries, baking spices, toasted grains and a touch of rhubarb. On the palate, the texture is round, soft, and plush at entry, with fruit and toasty vanilla flavors tightly integrated. Bright fresh berry flavors endure throughout the palate, with a fresh, crisp finish. The coastal origins of this wine are hinted at with the very slightly saline notes at the entry and again at the finish.
