Feudo Montoni Description
Feudo Montoni has been producing top-quality wines on its historic grounds since 1469 and is currently overseen by Fabio Sireci, the third generation of a family dedicated to producing the most refined expressions of this long-cultivated terroir. Rosario Sireci purchased the Feudo Montoni estate in the late 1800s upon discovering a wealth of ancient vines, and passed down the property his son. Located in the heart of Sicily and planted in sand and clay, this certified organic winery produces many of Italy’s most celebrated 100% indigenous varietals – Perricone, Nerello Mascalese, Catarratto, Grillo and Inzolia– in addition to the purest expression of Nero d’Avola.
Timpa is the name of the cru from which these grapes are sourced, derived from the Sicilian word for "strong slope." The vineyard climbs a hill with a gradient exceeding 70%, providing optimal sun exposure and natural drainage. This challenging terrain contributes to the unique character and intensity of the wine.
Tasting Note: The nose has strong notes of white peach and loquat, with floral aromas of Sicilian Spanish broom, jasmine and almond flowers on the finish. On the palate, it is fresh, persistent and has a remarkable acidity that is well-balanced with alcohol.

The 2024 Grillo Timpa is wildly fresh, with an invigorating bouquet that mixes green melon and kiwi with gingery spice and mint. Juicy in style, it impresses further with a pleasant inner sweetness contrasted by tart orchard fruit and a nuance of lime. The 2024 finishes full of zesty tension that calls the taster back to the glass for more.
