The newly released NV Brut is showing nicely, bursting with aromas of pear, preserved citrus, honeycomb and praline. Medium-bodied, bright and pillowy, with tangy acids and a pinpoint mousse, it's a pretty, nicely balanced English Sparkling Wine.
Vinous: 88 Points
The NV Brut is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Blanc, fermented in stainless steel and aged for at least 18 months on lees. Gentle creaminess and a suggestion of crusty baguette appear tenderly on the nose. The palate is light, made beautifully airy with sprightly foam that bursts tenderly and creates a sense of weightless creaminess. Smooth lemon flavors the slender body and comes to a dry finish, marking this as a perfect and light apero.
Dosage is 8 grams per liter.
