WSI93 JD92 The 2018 Pinot Noir Sangiacomo Roberts Road is another rich, textured, medium to full-bodied effort delivering ample darker berry and currant fruits as well as notes of black tea, underbrush, and damp earth. It’s drinking nicely today yet has the density, concentration, and balance to evolve for 7-8 years depending on how mature you like your Pinot Noir.
Estate Notes: Restrained and elegant, with sour red cherry and soft cinnamon stick on the nose, the 2018 Sangiacomo is ever true to site. This smooth gal is a mouthful of cranberry compote with pumpkin pie spices and vibrant acidity. Red fleshed plums, forest floor, mace, and nutmeg round out the expressive palate. This vintage is rounder with a fuller texture than some years, resulting in a long, lingering finish.
