Bocca di Lupo (Antinori) Description
Bocca di Lupo is the spark that lit the enological dream of the estate. The desire to rediscover this noble and austere (Aglianico) varietal by offering an authentic Apulian interpretation drove the ambitious project of the winery.
The estate is located in the countryside of Minervino Murge in Apulia, the DOC region of Castel del Monte, an area well known for the beauty of its wild. Tenuta Bocca di Lupo estate is the spark that ignited this dream and later confirmed its position as undisputed leader in the enological “Renaissance” of the entire region.
Tasting Note: The nose presents notes of red fruit especially cherries and black mulberries in perfect balance with floral sensations and fresh spicy notes. The palate is vibrant, persistent defined by lively tannins. A long soft finish delivers pleasant sensations of freshness and complexity.
Vinous: 90 Points
The 2020 Aglianico Trentangeli tempts the imagination with cedar spice box, cloves, dried flowers, licorice and rum-soaked blackcurrants. This is soothingly round with waves of ripe red and black fruits, cooling acidity and violet inner florals. It finishes with a pleasant herbal tinge and a bitter blackberry flourish.
