A value-priced release from a brilliant estate!
Tempo d’Angelus comes all from vines owned by Château Angelus with the expertise of its teams at the most affordable price levels. It has been created to provide a window that opens out onto the world of grands crus which will allow demanding wine enthusiasts to enjoy a wine that is structured complex and delicious to drink without having to wait 15 or 20 years as they often have to for our grands crus.
The grapes of Tempo d’Angelus are exclusively sourced from vines belonging to Chateau Angelus namely from plots acquired in 2017 for this very purpose and which are located in Castillon-la-Bataille and Sainte- Colombe a few kilometers from Saint Emilion on magnificent clay-limestone slopes. It is vinified in a cellar specifically designed for it within the “Chai Carillon” in which it benefits from state-of-the-art technology and all the savoir-faire of Angelus.

The 2023 Tempo d'Angelus is a gorgeous entry-level offering from Angélus. Soft and pliant, the Tempo is an absolute delight. Pretty floral top notes lift a core of brilliant red-toned fruit. All of this is estate fruit. Tempo is quite frankly irresistible.

The 2023 Tempo d'Angélus marks the first vintage to incorporate fruit from the estate’s holdings in the Côtes de Francs. Revealing aromas of dark wild berries, cassis and spices, accented by a touch of menthol, it is medium- to full-bodied, juicy and supple, built around a lively core of fruit and concluding with a long, ethereal finish. Part of this blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc was matured in new oak.
